X-Men Movie's true release!!

Well, this past weekend the true release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine was seen in theatres. Even with the FBI leak of the movie 3 weeks ago it did not seem to hurt the movies box office numbers. It was said that this weekend the Wolverine movie brought in $87 million and hit number 1 on the charts. So it seems that even with a leak this movie still seemed to rise to the occasion and still have a successful showing just like the rest of the X-Men series.

Who's feeling obsessed Waiting for "Obsessed"
Opening this weekend, April 24 is the highly anticipated movie Obsessed starring; Beyonce Knowles, Ali Larter, and Idris Elba. With a story plot similar to the well known movie "Fatal Attraction", but with an interracial twist. When a temp worker named Lisa played by Ali Larter, starts working at an office she becomes "wouldn't you know it obsessed" with her coworker Derek Charles played by Idris Elba things get ugly. As she stalks not only him but his family and puts everything he's worked hard for in jeopardy. When she doesn't get the clue guess who's left to handle the crazy witch....that's right the wife Sharon played by Beyonce Knowles. I know I'm hoping it's going to be good with some real drama and a great fight scene. None of that cat fight, pulling hair, and slapping I mean a serious fight!!!!!!!

Drangonball Evolution!!!

This movie which was based on the popular animated series Dragonball Z. Is filled with some big starts and quite a bit of action. With starts like James Marsters, and Chow Yun-Fat it is a must see for fans of the series. I saw it Sunday and as a fan of the series I must say it wasn't bad but it could of been much better. It kept up with some of the original sequences but did make a few changes. Luckily the names are correct and you do get to see some pretty good fight scenes.

What is the "Knowing" all about
The most recent Nicholas Cage movie is one of action, drama, and suspense. For those waiting to see this movie it will keep you guessing, wondering, wanting to know whats coming next. The previews for this movie really don't do it justice to show just how action packed it is. With the end of the world as we know it it makes you think what if. With a twist of an ending you won't leave the theatre disappointed but maybe asking you're self some questions!!!!

Just another Superhero Movie??? RIGHT
Wrong!!!! The newly released superhero movie Watchmen is far from the traditional superhero movie. Instead, of a bunch of crime fighting, all about justice and honorable heroes this group is no where close. This movie which was taken from a comic book mini-series has heroes with some major problems. Despite it's nontraditional heroes this movie achieved 25.1 million on opening
day march 6 and a gross of 55.7 million in weekend earnings. If you like traditional superhero movies with honorable good heroes this is probably not what you're looking for, but if you want more drama and a look outside the box check it out. It's pretty long almost 3hrs but it keeps you interested and waiting to see what's next!!!

This week Tyler Perry's Madea goes to Jail comes out and once again it has some very familiar faces. Well, known names that will be staring are of course Tyler Perry himself playing multiple roles, Derek Luke, and Keshia Knight Pulliam. This movie just like most of Tyler Perry's movies started as a play and now is hitting the big screen.

Favorite movie
One of my favorite movies ever is Love&Basketball. I think it's my favorite because the story is so believable and moving. The characters are remember able and the plot of the story is easy to follow. No matter how many times i see this movie it still makes me laugh, get angry and even almost cry and that makes for a great movie. That i know what's coming but it still moves me the way it does. Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps have great chemistry on the screen and you can almost feel the raw passion and emotions that their characters had for each other and the game. The movie came to theaters on April 21 2000 and did fairly good in the box office it's first week. In my book this movie will always be a top rated and one to watch over and over again!!

Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button
The newest movie that Brad Pitt has started in was "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" in which he plays a child born under some unusual circumstances. This move came out December 25, 08 so my discussion on it is late but i think still very interesting. I just recently seen it myself and i must say it was better then i thought it was going to be. Brad Pitt's performance was nothing more than brilliant, i believe and this was a movie that he truly will be remembered for. Even though it did not get the number one spot when it opened it did get second with about 11.1 million in the first week. If you want to read more on it and get reviews try this link http://www.fandango.com/

Great new movie

This past weekend i saw "Underworld: rise of the Lycans" it was a great addition to the sequel. It had all the original cast members and stuck to the history that you learned from the first two movies. So far it's number 2 in the box office getting $20.8 million, the only other movie that leads it in the box office is "Paul Blart: Mall cop", which it at $21.8 million. The fight scenes were great and the action was none stop. There wasn't a dull moment in my opinion the excitement just kept on coming. If you've seen the first two i must say you need to catch this last one it really brings the story together.

New movies I've seen
Well this past week I've seen two new movies that came out. It was the Notorious movie and Paul Blart: mall cop. I went to see Notorious on opening night, it was packed in the theater and they had alot of police officers there. I liked the movie even though growing up i was more of a tupac fan then a Biggie fan. I'd give the movie about a 7 and I'd recommend others to go see it. The Paul Blart movie was moderately funny, i mean I've seen funnier but it wasn't bad. i would probably give it a 5.5 as far as entertaining is concerned but if you like kind of corny humor then sure why not???...but hey if you've seen any good ones let me know
